The Eastside Golf Story: Earl Cooper and Olajuwon Ajanaku

Earl and Olajuwon both started playing golf at six years old, met at Morehouse College (where they won a National Championship!) and went in opposite directions: Earl becoming a teaching pro at prestigious country clubs and Olajuwon trying his hand at joining the PGA Tour. Faced with no sponsors and no money, Olajuwon left the game and became a successful banker. Nine years later, still nagged by his lifelong love, he decided to take matters into his own hands. This is the story of Olajuwon "becoming his own sponsor," a reconnection with Earl, and a fateful walk through the streets of Detroit... plus Chris Paul, Michael Jordan and Barack Obama.
